CJV PHOTOGRAPHY

I'm Catherine Verdier, a lifestyle photographer based in the Hampton Roads/SE Virginia area. As a Norfolk native, I love helping families make memories here in this beautiful place we call home (even if for some of us, it's only for a while). 

I fell in love with photography while I was a student at Maury High School and the Virginia Governor's School for the Arts. In the years since, I have studied photography while at George Mason University and at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, VA. 

My work has been featured on MyActiveChild, a local website, and on PilotOnline. 

My favorite thing to do is to capture the little moments that make up a life, but I understand the desire for a few posed portraits, too! Because I want your session to be personal to you, I like to speak briefly with clients before a session to get a clear idea of what you'd like your photos to look like, to help choose a location (your home or church, or someplace special like a beach or park), and to make sure I focus in on the things that make your family special. 

Family photo shoots, maternity shoots, newborn sessions and babywearing sessions begin with a 45-minute session and 25 digital images on disc. 

Mini-sessions are available throughout the year, beginning with a 20 minute slot and five digital images on disc. Please call or email for pricing and availability.
